A wall out of plumbing

A "tapeira" (a row of ceramic around the wall) should be placed on the floor so it doesn’t highlight the deformity, or the wall should be torn down and rebuild. An alternative is to place a wood or plaster panel on the wall to correct the imperfection. The plaster wall is found readymade and has easy applying. A brick wall averages fifteen centimeters in thickness and the plaster panel is five centimeters thick and can be painted over.

Calcination and blisters on the wall painting

The wearing out of the paint and the weather are the most common causes. They usually result from applying internal massa corrida on external walls or when the dust from sanding the walls is not totally removed prior to painting or even, when the paint is not well diluted. In order to solve these problems it is necessary to eliminate all residues and loose parts, dust, before applying a coat of deep preparador. After that it is necessary to paint the surface.

Mildew

Can be caused by humidity or infiltration. In a house, it can be caused by faults in the water pipes. In an apartment, the problem can be related to water leaking in the nearby apartments. It is usually necessary to remove the finishing of the wall, break down the wall and waterproof it. The cold method for water proofing is used to solve small problems, such as skirting boards, as it is cleaner and faster to use it. On the other hand, the hot water proofing is used when the problem is of a more serious condition, and it has longer lasting results.

If the problem is on the finished façade, the infiltration of water can be due to the water from the gutter pipes, as well as in between the tiles. As a solution, usually the tiles are removed, the waterproofing is applied and the tiles are replaced. In cases of mildew it is not recommended to simply paint over it since the problem is structural.

Cracks

Are little cracks, shallow, thin, and caused by time and weather. They end up showing in the ends of the walls, which prevents application of finishing on the wall. To solve this problem, use sandpaper on the surface of the wall to eliminate loose parts. Right after it, apply a coat of FUNDO PREPARADOR so the acrylic waterproofing works better.
